Meopham Community Academy is looking to appoint a hardworking, proactive, and enthusiastic Play Leader to join the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) team.

The successful candidate will be expected to co-ordinate and supervise a team in supporting pupils during the lunchtime period and continue to develop our fantastic lunchtime OPAL provision, ensuring children’s safety and enhancing their wellbeing. The ability to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, encouraging positive interaction and play between pupils.

The post will be for 12.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday working 11:30am -1.15pm each day and an additional 3.5 hours each week which can be agreed at appointment.  £20,103 full time equivalent, actual pro rata salary £5,602.99 based on 12.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

Meopham Community Academy is a two form entry primary school set in a beautiful village location and the school prides itself on providing a happy, safe and caring environment for all its pupils. We are a busy, friendly and popular school with a warm and welcoming ethos; recognised by all who visit!

The staff, parents and governors of our school work together to provide the best for the families we serve. We want our children to enjoy their time and education with us and to achieve the highest possible standards in all aspects of their lives. We are very proud of our school and the high standards of behaviour and learning that our children achieve.

Our broad curriculum, wide range of extra-curricular activities and support for pupils were all recognised in the most recent, short Ofsted inspection in October 2018, where the school continued to be rated as “Good”.

We are now part of The Golden Thread Alliance and we work closely with the other schools in the trust.
