At Temple Hill Primary Academy, we are proud to have written our own curriculum, which not only meets the requirements of the National Curriculum, but also goes above and beyond this to meet the needs of our pupils, their families and our community. This unique curriculum has developed over time and we are constantly refining and improving it, responding to the ever-changing world we live in.
See our overarching wider curriculum intent and then use the individual subject pages to explore. For each subject you will find the Statement of Intent, Knowledge Organisers (Year R-6) and the Whole School Overview.
This outlines what we intend to teach the pupils who attend our school and why. It also states how we IMPLEMENT our curriculum – this is what we DO to ensure our INTENT is achieved and has the desired IMPACT
These outline the knowledge (the what) and the skills (the how) that children in each year group are required to know in order to progress through our curriculum. They are designed to be used by teachers, pupils and parents/carers, in order to demystify the learning process, so everyone knows what they need to know and can revisit prior learning when needed. These documents are constantly being reviewed and developed. We are currently in the process of finalising KOs for Reception, so these may not yet be
present for some subjects.
This document shows what is being taught when. Content has been carefully mapped out by our teachers, subject leaders and Assistant Headteachers.
